Thermowell

Care should be taken since a thermowell employed to protect the temperature measuring part may cause measurement errors and breakage accidents unless allowable flow velocity or working pressure, and corrosion resistance, etc. are taken into account.

(1) Allowable flow velocity and working pressure

Allowable flow velocity and working pressure are determined by the size (outer and inner diameters, length) and material of thermowell. An example is shown below.
